Own Development 'Green Mold' US Patent Hold

Namdo Mold Corporation is a self-developed green mold (heated metal) system that competes against each other in global markets. It is recognized for its technological prowess as a partner in producing built-in parts for Tesla and Chrysler in the U.S. through the Green Mold System, which holds domestic and U.S. patents. When making parts in the manufacturing industry, they usually take molds and produce parts in form, and then go through post-processing such as painting and plating. However, the green-mold system can effectively control the temperature of the mold, heating and cooling, every cycle. In other words, "one injection" has the same effect as spray treatment, which can save about 20 percent of costs. There is also a benefit of greatly reducing the defect rate because it can eliminate the occurrence of defects in injection molded products. Since post-processing is not necessary, environmental pollution can be greatly reduced. In addition, it can lead the trend of mold with eco-friendly technology that can reduce unit cost of production compared to existing products as it can reduce the energy required for post-processing. Namdo Mold Corporation has continued its business activities, starting with the supply of one system controller and mold with green mold system applied to Otek Carrier in Gwangju in 2012. It then produced and supplied molds and system controllers that are applied to parts that are applied to Ford's vehicles in the U.S. in 2013, and in 2015 it produced and supplied molds and system controllers that have green mold systems applied to parts that are built into Tesla's built-in parts. "Although it is widely known that heating of molds can reduce injection defects, it is a very difficult technology to effectively conduct heating and cooling of them and to establish a system that can control them," said Chairman Oh Ki-jong. "We are recognized for our own unique technology by registering domestic and U.S. patents on this."
